Friday Foto Finish Fiesta
I found this spider on my porch one morning. It seems this particular species will weave two parts of a web, then "stitch" them together. I thought it was very interesting as well as beautiful.

I'm being very brave and leaving a message, because I've been assured that while small things like viruses can get to me over the internet, spidery things cannot.
Oh my gosh, I believe they would have heard me screaming in China that spider would have scared me so much. We just have daddy long legs. Nothing as beautiful and cool as that spider.
Holy Guacamole!! That's REAL?! I hope you had a zoom lens to get up that close. After I read your header and first glanced at the picture, I thought it was something you had made for scrapbooking... Beautiful, but SCARY!
Cool picture but I'm glad it's on your porch and not mine. Spiders are one of many bugs I just can't handle well. It would be gone as soon as my hubby came home. Do you know what kind it is yet and if it's poisonous? EEK!
Yes, this is a real spider, and no, it is not poisonous. I left it there and it did no one any harm.
I would rather leave these creatures alone (if they are not poisonous and if they are outside the house!) and let them catch and kill those annoying flies!

But next time can you warn me? ;)

What a great shot...I had to click on it and see if it was real or not! It is real correct?
Unbelievable picture, loved it.
That is fascinating... I've never seen anything like it.
That is just odd but cool.
Wow, that's amazing !! Great pic!!
When you click on the photo, you can see where the spider 'stitched' it's web together.

OMG--lov this pc! How cool!
Great shot! I never knew about the stitching thing. Cool.
Ooh, the spots on its back look like three pair of spooky Halloween eyes. Cool picture!
I am just impressed that you got close enough to take such an awesome picture!!
I have a pic like that myself. I never knew that's why their web looked like that!
That is beautiful. Kind of scared of the little buggars, but I can appreciate their talents from afar. Very afar!!
Spiders creep me out, but that is a very cool picture!
I can't remember that species name, but they are really awesome web designers...heh.
This is one cool picture!! But I hate spiders so it's scary too.
That is such a good picture and scary at the same time! Not a big spider fan!

YOU ARE TOTALLY FREAKING ME OUT! But cool web. :)
